Is the ski pass included in the lessons?

The ski pass isn’t included in the prices, but a ski pass is compulsory for everyone. The rates can be found at www.kitzbueheler-alpen.at

Can our children come together in class?

The classification of the children in our school is based on level and age. If your children are on the same level and age, you can indicate this when booking. We look at wether this actually matches and classify your children in the right group. 

Will the lessons take place in all weather conditions?

The lessons take place in all weather conditions, unless the lifts are closed. When the lifts are closed, the lessons are also temporarily terminated. 

Where is the ski school’s collection point?

The collection point (for everyone) is in front of the ski school. Our ski school is located at Schulgasse 15, A-6363 Westendorf. 

How are the groups classified?

Each student will have to ski in advance and will then be assigned to one of the groups based on their level and age. You can of course change groups at any time. 

On which days do the group lessons start?

The group lessons for children and adults start on Sunday or Monday.

Do the lessons all start at one time and place?

All lessons start at 9am at the skischool collection point. 

What are the lesson times for group lessons?

The lessons are from 9am to 11am and 1pm to 3pm. 

How early do you need to reserve a private teacher?

The sooner, the better of course! There are always enough ski instructors available at our ski school. In high season we recommend you book your lesson at least one day in advance, you can do this at our office or online on the website. 

How long do private lessons last?

There is a choice of private lessons of 2 hours or 4 hours. A private lesson of 4 hours consist 2 lessons blocks. A full day can of course always be discussed. 

From what age can children take a lesson?

We give lessons to children from 5 years. 

Can you get lessons from a Dutch teacher?

Yes, off course. We offer a 100% guarantee on a Dutch teacher. 

Which languages do ski instructors speak?

Our teachers speak mostly Dutch, German and English. 

Do the ski lessons have to be followed consecutively for days?

The days must be followed one after the other, because the group always continues with the program. If the lessons aren’t followed one after the other, there will be a difference in level. In this case it is always possible to change groups. 

What happens if my child losses the group?

Our ski instructors will of course do everything to ensure that the group stays together. Every teacher has learned in his education how to do this. The children have also learned in class what to do if they lose the group. 

Should a child lose the group, the skischool leader will be contacted immediately and all other teachers will be informed. There are also agreements and collaborations with other ski schools to ensure that the child returns to his group as quickly as possible. 

With which payments methods can the lessons be paid?

At our ski school accept pin, Visa, Mastercard and cash. You can pay online with all popular payment methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact, Mastercard en Paypal. 

How can I change or cancel my reservation?

Changing or cancelling a reservation can be done by means of telephone contact, an e-mail or through your own account on the website.

Ski rental

Where can I find the rental?

The ski rental can be found at the bottom of the beginners’ country in Westendorf. The skischool and ski rental are located in the same building. 

The address is: Schulgasse 16, A-6363 Westendorf. 

Are the ski poles included in the ski equipment?

The ski poles are always included with a ski set. 

What is the difference between a bronze, silver or gold set?

The sets differ in level, quality and price. Bronze is for novice skiers, Silver for the light advanced skier and Gold for the advanced skier. 

What is included with a skiset?

A complete ski set consist of skis, ski poles and boots. A helmet can be rented for €3,- per day. 

Which brands do you rent?

We rent out the brands Fischer, Head, Salomon, Atomic, Elan, Völkl and K2. 

Are the skis waxed and ground?  

The skis and snowboards are waxed and polished every week on return, so that they are perfectly fine for you again!

Are the rented items insured?

The insurance is usually included with a travel insurance. View this with your own travel insurance.

What equipment do I need for skiing or snowboarding?

To be able to ski you need skis, ski boots and poles. We also recommend renting a helmet for your own safety.
